about small groups
Small Groups happen when we get together to "do life" together. It's an intentional way for our members to seek God through relationships, shared growth and mutual ministry. This happens when we come together to learn biblical principles. It happens when we have open discussions within a safe environment. Small groups provide a loving atmosphere where accountability and quality discipleship in the faith can develop.
When we gather as a large group, the primary teaching is done and this is where the entire body most reflects the Bride of Christ. However, we also recognize how essential one-on-one discipleship is and the edification it brings. In between these two ends of the spectrum, Small Groups work to connect the whole congregation and the ministry going on between individuals. Small Groups are an extension of the teaching Westwood provides in which we learn and can apply the Word more deliberately through quality discipleship.
